Submissions
BBTF is officially accepting submissions at two different periods for our 2027 season. Please read the following carefully.
Preliminary Submissions Period: Oct. 1 through Nov. 1, 2026. This allows you to get a jump on preparing the best version of your script for stage and for our critiquing process. We offer this one month period for submissions from serious playwrights who want feedback NOW so they can continue to work on their scripts before officially submitting. You will receive your crit within a few weeks of your submission (by the end of October). If you would like to re-submit your revised script during our official submission period, we'll waive the fee and consider your revised script as your formal entry for the season. PLEASE NOTE: This process does not ensure your script will be selected. No plays over 90 pages. They will be returned.
Official Submission Period: Dec. 15, 2026 to Feb. 14, 2027. Straight plays must not exceed 90 minutes; musicals must not exceed 110 minutes. If your script is over that time limit, you will be required to edit it to the proper length. No exceptions. Unless you are resubmitting your script, you must pay the $50 reader fee, which is non-refundable.

Step One
Use the PayPal link below to submit the one time, non-refundable $50 submission fee. Please put the title of your play on the form. If you don't have a PayPal account, please contact us at info@broadwayboundfest.com.
Step Two
Review materials to confirm that they meet all requirements of the festival as detailed on our SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS page.
Step Three
Use the below APPLICATION link to fill out the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival 2027 official application. (Your play will not be officially submitted until you fill out the application AND have paid the submission fee.)
Step Four
Plays:
After finishing the application, digitally submit your full script without your name and any identifying information, as an attachment to the email address info@broadwayboundfest.com. Please add this email address to your contacts to ensure you will receive all communications from us in a timely manner.
Step Four
Musicals:
After finishing the application, please submit a dropbox or google drive folder info@broadwayboundfest.com containing the following:

Demo tracks for all songs. These do not have to be fully produced but we need to hear every song.

The full script, without your name and identifying information

Lyrics from at least one song

Proof of right to adapt underlying material (if applicable)

Social media handles/videos (if applicable)
